St. Louis, Mo., Sept. 14, 2011 – Hansen’s Tree Service & Environmental Wood Resources of O’Fallon, Mo., is among two charities and 10 businesses who are winners of BBB TORCH Awards for exceptional ethical business practices and customer service from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Serving Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois.
Hansen’s has grown from a part-time business while Jeff Hansen was driving a trash truck to a company with 65 employees in the St. Louis area as well as 10 to 12 in the Branson/Springfield market. The company provides tree diagnosis, pruning, tree and stump removal, lawn care and green waste recycling. It also produces mulch and compost.
“Business is always about serving other people so they trust you, believe in you and want to do business with you again,” Hansen said. “I tell the staff if giving 99 percent to our customers is enough, then they should go. We have to give 100 percent every day.”
The BBB will present the TORCH Awards at a luncheon on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at the Chase Park Plaza. Tickets for the luncheon are available at $50 a person, or $500 for a table of 10. Patron tables for 10 are available for $1,500. Reservations can be made by calling 314-645-0606.
